*PARKER SONNET, ATHENES/ATHENS ROLLER BALL PEN, GP/GPT, FRANCE, 1994

Description

Here's a beautiful  early model French PARKER SONNET rollerball pen from the first generation of Sonnets. The item was previously owned but as far as I can tell was only lightly used. Whe acquired it was stored in the collector's pen cabinet. It is date marked 1st quarter 1994 and in the ATHENS GOLD finish. The beautiful finish is obtained through deep cut longitudinal engravings from which the shadowy effect gives illusion to black pinstriping. The pen's surface and  trim is all 23K plated gold.    The pencil is 5-1/4" long and is marked on the cap band PARKER SONNET FRANCE, llI along with the French square PP/ARROW touch mark. The pen has a black jewels at each end.  The gold surface is near flawless, but does have a few tiny dark spots in one of the barrel grooves, truly insignificant.  The rollerball refill is black and fully functional.  No box or paperwork.. but a great pencil!
