WWII Japanese National Railways Visor cap. Wool is in good shape for the age. No glow using a black lite test. No visible moth holes seen. Liner has a lot of wear to it, some of the stitching has come undone has shown. Cap is named, owner stitched his name inside the cap lining.
This cap might be for a conductor/engineer, as the silk lining, and cherry blossom buttons are normally reserved for "officer rank".  One chinstrap button is missing, that could be replaced as the buttons look to be the same size as Army officer cap side buttons. Bullion wreath insignia on front with Railroad Train wheel insignia in center. Not a common WWII Japanese visor cap to come across.
