Original
WWII Japanese Civil Defense steel helmet in good condition. Has 80% of its mustard brown paint and no dents in the shell. Has some surface rust on outside of shell. Shell has a hole for a badge, but no badge on this. The cloth liner is good shape as well but has various stains as shown. Behind the liner (inside the dome) is a old piece of Japanese newspaper, I have left it inside there as not to damage it by trying to remove it.  Liner is marked in Kanji in several places. The markings would most likely denote name, unit, and town or prefecture. I don't have any translation for them. NO chinstrap came with this helmet.
