WW2 II Japanese Imperial Army visor cap with kanji name inside !

Description

Just as found in the bottom of a trunk that belonged to a local Marine who served in the Pacific in 1943-1945.
Unfortunately, the veteran is deceased so no related history is known other than he was wounded at the Battle of Peleliu in 1944.
