Vintage 1941 Imperial Japanese Army Soldier Canteen

Description

This is a piece of history from the Japanese side of world war 2 and it came from Japan.
This rare canteen is in great shape considering it's age.
It is 100% authentic and the soldier has his name (Ogata) on it.
The makers mark on the bottom is Nigiriya which translates to "fistful of arrows".
It's also dated as Showa 16 (1941)
The leather strap that goes through the canteen cork stop may have shrinkage. I was not about to shove the cork stopper fully into the canteen.
No major dents, chips or scratches and is to be considered 99% mint considering it's age and that's a rare thing!
This is the real thing, in great shape and a must have for the true collector for the Pacific War with the Land Of The Rising Sun.
