This is a Japanese Maneki-Neko or Beckoning Cat. It is believed to beckon lucky fortune.
This beckoning cat is very special, artistic, and rare. Why?
This was made by MUKUROJI Kimisaburo, who lives in Imari city in Kyushu island.
He is well known as a pottery artist as well as an incomparable cat lover, living with 10+ cats.
This beckoning cat was 100% hand made by him in his life with cats.
He engraved his signature at the bottom surface (photograph #8 & 9).
Many cat lovers are looking for his beckoning cat.
However, it is very difficult to find in the market, because he makes them only a few in a year.
And, he would stop to make soon as he got very senior.
So, this beckoning cat is very artistic, lovely and difficult to find.
It is brand new and in excellent condition.
