Trilobite-Stunning Waldron Shale Dalmanites halli cephalon-Fossils Crinoid

Offered here is a stunning Dalmanites halli trilobite cephalon from the Waldron Shale Formation from Blue Springs Quarry (filled with water) in Waldron, Indiana, Silurian in age. The trilobite cephalon measures almost 1” wide at the genal tips. The matrix measures 5 1/2” x 3 3/8”. As you can see from the pictures, the cephalon has beautiful preservation and fantastic eye facets. The glabella was paper thin. Only a dozen or so complete specimens have been found and would sell in excess of ,000 today. This beautiful piece was found about 20 years ago during the time we had a lease on part of the old Blue Springs Quarry outside Waldron, Indiana. The quarry is full of water and is in a legal battle.
