Offered here is a beautifully prepared, totally inflated, and ultra rare Thaleops laurentiana trilobite from the Galena Formation of Goodhue County, Minnesota, Ordovician in age. The trilobite measures 1 1/8” wide and is totally inflated. W
ould be about 1 3/4” if totally prone.
The matrix measures 3 1/2” x 2 3/4”. In the past I tried to purchase the finest specimens available from different locations and now I’m just focusing in on specific areas allowing rare and unavailable specimens of the finest quality go. You just don’t see specimens of this quality and preservation for sale anymore. I purchased this specimen totally unprepared and it was prepared by one of the best in the business.
