Offered here is a beautifully prepared in the good ole USA, a Thysanopeltis speciosa austromaura trilobite from the El Otfal Formation, from Djebel Issoumour, Morocco, Devonian in age. The trilobite measures 1 5/8” in length as measured from the top and is highly contra-flexed. Probably would measure right at 2” if prone. The matrix measures 3 1/2” x 3”. As you can see from the pictures, the trilobite is nicely articulated and has outstanding shell quality. This was prepared by one of the best in the business and the quality shows. Compare this to the ones you see on commercial fossil sites for sale. There is no comparison. This has zero tools or pneumatic marks on it compared to many I’ve seen for sale. Quality is everything. Sure, you can buy a cheaper less quality bug, but when you get it, you won’t be happy with it.
