I 'am the 2nd owner of these sets and they have never been out of the box
Pen has a Date code of  LE  Which makes it made in 1st Quarter of 1983
Measures 5 1/4" or 13.3cm with cap on, 5 3/8" or 13.6cm with cap posted.
