Description
Here's a PARKER 180 ROLLERBALL PEN in the silver plated ECORCE or BARK pattern. Various references imply this finish was not a part of the regular lineup of finishes for the 180.. but along was some other Place Vendome finishes was used for trials or prototypes. This pen varies from regular line pens in that it has no flare and the end of the barrel and hence does not post as firmly as regular line pens do. As noted by Mr. Binder, posted length of the unflared end pens is less than the posted length of flared items and also less than the length of thecapped pen. There is no date mark, but likely from the late '80's, possibly preproduction. The pen was previously owned and apparently had some use as it has minor scratches on the cap band and some bumps on the barrel tassie, but still excellent condition. Original rollerball blue refill still operates. Truly a fine looking fountain pen!
