    Description

    Includes an official tour brochure for the Salvador Dalí Theater & Museum, in Figueres, a small city (46,000 residents) in the northeastern corner of Catalonia and Spain that is Dalí’s hometown. The artist is buried in a crypt underneath the stage of the theater, which was his boyhood haunt and a popular venue for the display of his early work. The Dalí Museum actually has two other components in nearby towns: the Gala Dalí Castle House-Museum in Púbol (dedicated to Dalí’s wife, Gala) and the Salvador Dalí House Museum in the coastal village of Port Lligat.     There is also a Guide/Map of the Teatre Museu Dalí (in English), which is by far the most popular tourist attraction in this corner of the world (1.4 million visitors a year) (from 2006).
