    The Maneski Neko (welcome cat) is a iconic Japanese character which is believed to bring welcome and good luck personally or in business.  Displayed at the entrance of many businesses to bring them both good luck and welcoming to customers.  With an upright paw, the cat brings good luck and fortune.  Sitting on a nice fabric pillow, this cat is made of earthenware and measures 2.5 inches tall and with the pillow about 2 inches across.  Great vintage condition.
