    Ogyginus cordensis
    :
    Ordovician. Llandrindod Wells, Powys, Wales, UK.
    Size: The huge positive specimen has 3 5/8” of its carapace (9 cm) exposed on a 6 ½ x 5 3/8”
    (16.5 x 13.5 cm) plate. The negative resides on a smaller plate.
    They fit together tight and seamlessly.
    This is a wonderful displayable example of a clean split
    pos/neg plate. Note the rust/orange color. It is adorned decoratively by a number
    of
    Cryptolithid
    cephalons. Incomplete or not, it is still an impressive visual treat.
