    Description

Geological map of the Skaergaard intrusion from 1989. If you ever have had the good luck to have been introduce to geology during your college days, you will have heard about the Skaergaard intrusion. But if you don't recall - just have a look at your old petrology textbook. A world renown layered igneous intrusion in East Greenland that was first discovered in 1930 by L.R. Wager and subsequently described in seminal publications in 1936 and again in 1968. This is a rare change to actually own a copy of the most recent map of the intrusion produced by the late Alex McBirney of Oregon University. The map is folded but otherwise pristine. A great wall display for the office of any geologist.
