Fossils-100+ Killer Waldron Pyritized Brachiopods, Gastropods-Trilobite Crinoid

Offered here is a beautifully prepared sea floor slab of over 100 pyritized brachiopods pyritized gastropods from the Waldron Shale Formation from Blue Springs Quarry (filled with water) in Waldron, Indiana, Silurian in age. The brachiopods measure, on an average, about 1/4”-1/4” wide as do the gastropods. Most are highly pyritized with beautiful detail. The matrix measures 8 1/4” x 6”. As you can see from the pictures, the brachiopods are nicely articulated. Also on the piece are some nice bryozoan and trilobite parts . This piece is the second largest and best combination I have prepared to date. It took over 10 hours of prep time on this beauty. I
t actually comes in two pieces as the brachiopod layer is this and sits on a thicker base layer.
This beautiful piece was found about 20 years ago during the time we had a lease on part of the old Blue Springs Quarry outside Waldron, Indiana. The quarry is full of water and is in a legal battle.
