Fine 4.5cm semi coiled Geesops schlotheimi, good shell / eyes, Devonian, Gees.

Description

Offered is a good sized (4.5cm along axis) and well preserved item for the specialist trilobite collector; a semi coiled, 3D example of the classic German phacopid Geesops schlotheimi(Bronn) from the Middle Devonian Ahrdorf Fm. of Gees, Gerolstein, Eifel Region.
Sharply preserved and complete with good shell intact on all but the pygidial axis, this crisp specimen retains original convexity. Both eyes are well preserved with good lenses, and the cephalic prosopon of pustules is well shown too.
No reserve  for a highe relief, well preserved example of this classic species.
