This is simply a beautiful trilobite. It is a top quality Phacops from Morocco. This amazing specimen has been expertly prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab. This awesome trilobite has been professionally extracted from rock the surrounding the trilobite, giving the appearance it is floating in mid-air! The bug itself sits on a base consisting of two rocks forming a pedestal - it really does look like an artist's sculpture, not a fossil! The striking trilobite is super clean, preserves beautiful natural coloration, and the compound eye facets are easily seen. The distinct hypostoma (mouthplate) has even been exposed and is also well displayed.
And, remember, this incredible bug was microscopically-prepared in the US, not in Morocco.
