We will be auctioning some nice fossils here over the next few weeks, so keep checking back.
This is a cool enrolled trilobite. It is a complete Lochovella deckeri (Reedops) from Morocco. This specimen is quite large - over an inch wide! The thick shell exoskeleton is beautifully preserved, and the natural coloration is easily seen. The compound eyes are large and impressive - the faceted lenses are prominently displayed. The enrolled trilobite is preserved in a Pac-Man pose, and it is fully natural to the matrix base - it has never been popped out! This is a very displayable enrolled example of this underappreciated Oklahoma trilobite.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS.com is included with this specimen. FREE SHIPPING in the USA!
