Triarthrus
eatoni
from the Lorraine Group, Whetstone Gulf Formation of upstate New York. These ventral trilobites were prepared very slowly under a microscope, exposing the soft parts of the trilobites. Both antennae and two very distinct rows of appendages are exposed on both bugs - these are VERY EASILY seen in the photos and even with the naked eye. This amazing specimen displays many of the delicate soft tissues, which are beautifully preserved in pyrite. This is a very collectible plate of TWO classic trilobites displaying their rarely-seen antennae and appendages in textbook fashion.
