This is a rare MULTIPLE Ceraurus pleurexanthemus plate from the famous Walcott-Rust Quarry (WRQ) near Trenton Falls, New York. This type is one of the original trilobites that Charles D. Walcott and James Hall found and made famous over a century ago! The largest specimen on the plate is complete and has its free cheeks and large eyes intact, which is quite unusual. The distinct bug has great detail preserved, showcasing the thick shell exoskeleton "skin" beautifully. The textbook trilobite is very well articulated and beautifully displayed on the large, semi-squared limestone plate that also contains two other complete Ceraurus and a partial...WOW! This is a very collectible multiple example of classic Ceraurus pleurexanthemus trilobites from this historic site in New York State.
