Description
Offered is a well preserved and unusual item for the trilobite collector who enjoys preparation: a complete 1.3cm example of the benthic trinucleidStapeleyella inconstans
Whittard1955,
from the Lower Ordovician; Dariwillian, Hope Shales of Minsterley, Shropshire.
This sharp specimen is fully articulated and unusually, has the upper lamella of the fringe absent, to reveal the lower lamella with deep radiating sulci and the right genal spine in evidence. The lower lamella carries the genal spines, and further preparation is necessary to reveal them. Matrix approx. 8cm X 6cm X 1.5cm.
No reserve for a crisply preserved and displayable example of this classic UK species, with the lower lamella exposed.
