The age of the crown worm is the Middle Silurian. Crown worms are ancient invertebrates, a genus of the class Trilobites. There is a row of protruding nodules on the edge of the head, resembling a crown, hence the name. The number of segments on the central axis of the tail is more than the number of segments on both sides of the ribs, and the complete insect is 3-6cm long.
