    These are surge protectors that save power through the use of the timer.  They save power by turning off the devices that are plugged into it i.e. tv's, audio equipment and any other item that may use phantom power when turned off.  The timer could be set to only have the items on when you are in your home or office.  There are 6 programable on/off settings.  It provides 1080joules of protection for the devices plugged into it.
