1744-1818 Abigail Adams Commemorative Bottle Clevenger Bros, Cayton NJ (Amethyst/Purple)
Excellent example of South Jersey Glass from Clevenger Brothers Glass Works of Clayton, New Jersey. This bottle is sharply embossed and has "Clevenger Bros. Glass Wks. Clayton, N.J."  and the numbers -69 molded in the bottom. The front of the bottle has a raised bust of Abigail Adams and the dates 1744-1818, The reverse side reads " Women of the American Revolution" and "3rd Bottle in a Series of 4". This bottle is seldom see for sale. The condition is NOS and the bottle is near mint. There are a few small seed bubbles and mold lines consistent with manufacturing. This amethyst flask bottle measures 8" tall and 4-3/4" across - front to back the bottle is nearly 2" deep.
